Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3-4 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add the chopped onions and green chillies and sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage and mix well.
  5. Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Cover the pan with a lid and let the cabbage cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the cabbage is tender, add the garam masala powder and mix well.
  8. Let the cabbage cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Turn off the heat and transfer the Village Style Chilli Kobi to a serving bowl.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves, if desired.
