Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup cream
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, cream, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best results.
- Heat the vegetable oil and ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chillies. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken along with the marinade and stir well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove the lid and let the gravy thicken on low heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
