Cheese ball curry is a delicious dish that combines the creaminess of cheese with the rich and flavorful spices of curry. Here’s a recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tsp nigella seeds
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • Water as needed
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated cheese, bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In a separate pan, heat some oil and add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, and nigella seeds. Fry until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped onion, tomato, and ginger-garlic paste to the pan. Cook until the vegetables are soft and the mixture is fragrant.
  5. Add the coconut milk and enough water to create a thick sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add the fried cheese balls to the curry sauce and gently simmer for a few minutes until the cheese balls are heated through and coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
